Cabbage palm

A Cabbage palm is a palm tree native to Florida. It has no crownshaft, costapalmate leaves on spineless petioles and a single rubust trunk.A cabbage palm occurs from the Florida keys to South Carolina. Naturally it grows on sandy bays, along shores and the Gulf Coast. It is widely grown on hardwood hammocks and pine flatwoods. A cabbage palm is extremely salt nad drought tolerant.

Coconut Palm

A Coconut palm is the most popular palm tree and the genus Cocos is the most well-known genus. A Coconut palm is a feather-leaved palm. It can be seen growing throughout the tropical world. It is often found growing on sandy soils and near the ocean. In the United States Coconut palms are found in Florida and hawaii.
A Coconut palm is not native to United States. The origin of this palm is the subject of controversy.

There are around 2500 palm tree varieties in the world. They are very different. They range from small to tall palm trees reaching 100 feet. As types of palm trees there are only two main types: palmate (having fan-like leaves) and pinnate (having pinnate leaves).
